1. Intellectual Property Protection

GetDJCrates respects the creative rights of artists and labels. All content on this platform—including audio files, DJ edits, sound effects, metadata, and branding—is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws.

  • DJ Performance License: All products are sold under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable performance license.
  • No Ownership Transfer: Purchase does not constitute a transfer of copyright or ownership.

2. DMCA Safe Harbor Compliance

GetDJCrates operates as a "service provider" under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512). We maintain strict protocols for:

  • Responding to valid infringement notices.
  • Disabling access to allegedly infringing materials.
  • Terminating the accounts of repeat infringers.

3. Filing a Takedown Notice (DMCA)

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please submit a written notice to our Designated Agent containing the following:

  1. Work Identification: A description of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
  2. Location: The exact URL(s) where the infringing material is located.
  3. Contact Info: Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
  4. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a "good faith belief" that the use is not authorized.
  5. Perjury Statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized agent.
  6. Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

If your content was removed and you believe this was an error, you may file a counter-notification. This must include your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury regarding the error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for New York.

  • If valid, material may be restored within 10–14 business days unless a court action is filed by the original complainant.

6. Repeat Infringer & Fraud Policy

  • Zero Tolerance: Users found to be repeatedly infringing—including the unauthorized resale, redistribution, or "leaking" of GetDJCrates packs—will have their accounts terminated immediately without refund.
  • Abuse of Process: Submitting fraudulent or bad-faith DMCA claims may result in legal liability and damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

7. Governance

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York. It operates alongside our Terms of Service and DJ License Agreement.
